Courses which put safety first are being held at Corby swimming pool.

Family first aid courses for anyone over the age of six are being held on Thursday, August 8, and Friday, August 23, from 9.30am until 11.30am.

Costing £2 a session, they will cover CPR, choking, bleeding and common illnesses.

A Save a Life session, aimed at children from seven to 12, is being held at the pool on Saturday, August 3, from midday until 2pm.

It will teach children how to stay save in and around water and the session costs £4 per child.

Corby Council’s lead member for community, Cllr John McGhee, said: “These are fantastic courses that could really be beneficial for all of the family. With the summer holidays in full swing, what better time to get youngsters clued up on safety measures, something they can take with them everywhere.”
