Rushden contractor Kier Construction has given the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Service a welcome financial boost.

The gift came as a result of a safety award scheme run by Kier, in which the company directors reward those construction sites that demonstrate exemplary safety standards with funds to give to their chosen charity.

Kier’s student accommodation project at Peterhouse for the University of Cambridge was judged the safest site, and site manager Jason Giblett and the team selected the Air Ambulance Service after the charity rescued one of Jason’s friends after a serious accident.

The company has made a £650 donation, which will be split between Northamptonshire and Leicestershire Air Ambulances.
