Five-year-old Megan Chettle O’Neill holds a thank you card after local charity the Swivel Club bought her a special car seat and wheelchair.

Megan, who goes to Denfield Park Primary School in Rushden, has a genetic skin condition which means she has no skin below the knees. Both of the youngster’s legs have been bandaged from foot to thigh since birth. There are times when Megan finds it difficult to walk due to restricted movement.

Megan receives full-time support at school and is described as being as bright as a button with a sunny disposition and always with a smile on her face.

Swivel Club chairman Colin Wright said: “The purpose of our organisation is to help people like Megan and it is moments like this that we see the benefits of our fundraising.”
