Three new single decker buses will be taking well-wishers into Corby town centre to see the Queen.
Stagecoach is providing the park and ride service for the royal visit on Wednesday.
A shuttle service will run every 20 minutes from Morrisons and Asda car parks, dropping off passengers in Elizabeth Street. The service will operate from 9.10 am until 2pm and will re-start at 4pm to get people back to their cars.
Chris Simes, Stagecoach Midlands’ commercial manager, said: “We were approached by Corby Council who were overjoyed when we agreed to operate this unique service.
“We are really pleased to be involved in such a partnership which we hope will provide a valuable service for those wishing to see the Queen on this very special occasion.”
Both supermarkets are making a large number of car parking spaces available for the park and ride service.
The cost of the return fare will be £1.90 and there will be no concessions.
