Robbery suspect stashed food in bag and threatened to stab staff member in Northampton garage

CCTV has been released of a man police want to identify in connection with a robbery investigation following an incident at a Northampton garage.

An unknown offender entered the Westbridge garage in St James Road and placed a number of sandwiches, cake and soft drinks in a carrier bag before approaching a staff member and threatening to stab them.

The offender then placed his hand inside his coat pocket and made out he had a knife before leaving with the goods.

The suspect is white, in his mid-twenties with a medium build.

He was wearing a grey beanie hat, a grey striped scarf as well as a blue sleeveless coat

He was a 5ft 10in grey hoodie and grey tracksuit bottoms with grey lines down the legs.

Anyone with information about the robbery, which happened some time between 1.26am and 1.48am on Wednesday, February 15, should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or, alternatively Crimestoppers, in confidence on 0800 555111
