A roast dinner was served up at the Daylight Centre in Wellingborough to celebrate the Queen’s jubilee.

Staff from housing association Wellingborough Homes joined the Daylight Centre Fellowship to organise the roast dinner on Friday, June 8.

The Daylight Centre helps vulnerable people in Wellingborough and the surrounding areas.

Elly Simms, community manager for Wellingborough Homes, said: “It is fantastic to assist such a hard-working charity with their indispensable work in the community.

“At Wellingborough Homes we are passionate about people and the communities in which we live.

“The Daylight Centre is unique in bringing people together to celebrate the jubilee, who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to do so. It was our pleasure to lend a hand in the running of the day.”

The event was held as part of the housing association’s wider programme of community support which includes the drop-in advice centre, the Fish Shop. For more information or to book an appointment call 01933 278248.
