As part of the continuing works on the A43 Corby Link Road there will be minor road closures this month.
The work will be carried out in two phases and the first will see the closure of the unclassified road between Mill Hill, Great Oakley and Newton Road.
The second phase, two weeks later, will see the closure of part of Newton road, between the A6003 to the Newton T-junction.
The road between Great Oakley and Little Oakley will be fully re-opened on the morning of Friday, March 14, with traffic being able to use the new bridge.
Phase one work will started on the morning of March 14 when a section of the unclassified road will be closed to allow the completion of the new road bridge and side roads. It is anticipated that it will re-open on the morning of Friday, March 28.
Local traffic, excluding heavy goods vehicles, from Newton and Geddington will be diverted westbound on Newton Road to the new Barford Bridge roundabout, on to the A6003 northbound to Corby and Great Oakley.
Traffic from Great Oakley will be diverted down the A6003 southbound to the new Barford Bridge roundabout, using the second exit towards Newton and Geddington.
Phase two will start on the morning of Friday, March 28, when Newton Road between the A6003 Barford Bridge roundabout and the Newton T junction will be closed to allow the road to be repaired. It is anticipated that this road will re-open on Saturday, April 12.
Local traffic, excluding heavy goods vehicles, from Newton and Geddington will be diverted towards Great Oakley and the A6003 Oakley Hay roundabout.
Advanced warning signs will be in place during the week leading up to the closures, to alert people to diversions.
