Retailer B&M has confirmed that it will be opening a shop in a vacant shop unit in Kettering’s High Street before Christmas.
Rumours had been circulating for a number of weeks that the chain would be moving into the formed QD Stores shop when it stopped trading earlier this year – but B&M did not issue an official statement until this week.
A spokesman for B&M told the Telegraph: “I am delighted to exclusively announce today that B&M will be occupying the former QD Stores on the High Street in Kettering.
“The new B&M Bargains store will be opening on Wednesday, December 10.”
The firm said it could not yet confirm the number of jobs the store would create.
B&M already has an existing store in Kettering, near Tesco.
