A Northamptonshire firefighter has received an award for 40 years’ service to the community.

Malc Tull joined Raunds Fire Station in 1975 aged 18 and has served as a retained firefighter since then.

Last week he was presented with a certificate by mayor Louisa Thomas on behalf of Raunds Town Council.

Fellow firefighter Michelle Bates said: “You see a lot of horrific things in this job, but Malc has been an real pillar for all of us.”
