Officers seized equipment believed to have been used for unlicensed radio broadcasting during a raid at a property in Wellingborough.

Police officers teamed up with colleagues from OFCOM to jointly execute a search warrant last week, authorised by magistrates under the Wireless and Telegraphy Act 2006.

During the morning of Thursday, October 4, a search was carried out at a property in Abbey Road, Wellingborough, where unauthorised and unlicensed radio broadcasting was believed to be taking place.

A radio transmitter and other broadcasting equipment were seized from the address as evidence of the offences.

A 43-year-old man was questioned by OFCOM.
