An online community radio station in Northamptonshire is looking for volunteer presenters who are keen to experience life as a DJ.
Radio Northants, launched last month and based at studios in Rushden, is a not-for-profit station which hopes to have an FM licence within two years.
Station manager Darren Smith has already assembled a team of 20 volunteers and more are needed to keep supplying the mix of local content and music which is proving a hit with listeners.
He said: “We’ve been delighted with how things have gone so far and we’ve been getting some brilliant feedback from our listeners.
“We are now in a position where we need more presenters and we are keen to get as many voices on the station as possible to keep things fresh.”
The station is looking for people with an interest in radio who can spare a minimum of three hours a week and want to become part of a fast-growing station.
No experience is necessary as full training will be given. Applicants should live within 30 miles of Rushden.
