Youngsters at Park Junior School in Wellingborough were the hosts at a community tea event last week.
A Year 5 class hosted the event at the end of the school day on Friday and invited their families to come along and enjoy a hot drink and a biscuit.
Class teacher Hannah Church said: “It was a really successful afternoon. It was the first community tea I have done at the school.
“It was really nice to see lots of children’s family members there.
“The children had written invitations to the people they wanted to invite and they donated lots of cakes and biscuits.
“The children handed the cakes and biscuits around and served the visitors.
“It was a really nice community afternoon and we had governors there too.”
