Pub is planning big jubilee bash

A VILLAGE pub is planning a big bash to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The event is being held at The Sondes Arms, Rockingham, from midday to midnight on Monday, June 4.

There will be no admission fee to the event which is being organised by the pub and Adrenaline Alley in Corby.

There will be no admission charge and organisers have put together a packed programme of entertainment for adults and youngsters. On the day music will be provided by The Wedding Crashers, Paul Roberts, Joe Ray G, Vordhosbn, Michael Roberts, Nula and Josh, Rob Reeves, Craig Coulross and Co, Ryan Costello and No Direction.

For the youngsters there will be a bouncy castle, face painting, skittles, a theatrical performance by The Sondes Players and a dancing display by the Beat Project.

There will also be a barbecue, home-made ice cream, Aunt Fessie’s Cakes and an outdoor bar.

A spokesman for the organisers said: “We are hoping to put on a really nice family day.”
