Kettering Hospital has welcomed the first babies born in 2014.
Among them were Marshall Gregg, born at 10.34am to proud parents Michelle and Nathan, from High Street in Irthlingborough, and weighing 6lb 15oz.
The youngster was born after a four hour labour and is the couple’s second child.
Dad Nathan said: “His older brother David-Colin, 3, is really excited about seeing him.”
Marshall was 11 days overdue and mum Michelle said she had been due to be induced on New Year’s Day.
Carol and Niall Fordyce, from Market Harborough, were also celebrating the arrival of their second baby William Alexander Fordyce, born at 7.25am weighing 6lb 10oz.
The couple, who have another son, Joshua, 7, had been celebrating New Year’s Eve at a friend’s house before realising they would need to rush to hospital.
Mum Carol said: “It was a very quick labour, only about 20 minutes.”
Paul Nelson and Dawn Marshall, from Wheatley Avenue in Corby, welcomed their first baby Honor Catherine Nelson, born at 10.09am weighing 7lb 11oz.
Mum Dawn had gone into labour at about 7pm on New Year’s Eve.
Stacey Murphy and Shaun Purcell, from Birch Avenue in Corby, also had a new year treat after the arrival of Shaun-James Purcell, at 11.29am weighing 8lb 6oz.
Shaun said: “Shaun-James is our third child, and Stacey has another two children. All his brothers and sisters are looking forward to seeing the baby.”
