Mum Naomi Cooper is celebrating after her Music Makers class for pre-school children was voted the joint-best in the north of the county.
Music Makers, which has classes in Cranford, Mawsley and Titchmarsh, won the top prize in a vote on parenting site Netmums.com alongside Sing and Sign, which has classes in Kettering, Rushden, Great Oakley and Oundle.
Ms Cooper, of Titchmarsh, who has four-year-old twin girls, said: “I’m delighted that Music Makers has been crowned the best in north Northants.
“The Netmums award means so much as it’s voted for by the parents.
“I love running the classes and it’s great to know the parents and children enjoy it as much as I do.”
The classes, in which toddlers learn and have fun through music and movement, will be listed as the area’s best on the Netmums website.
Mums praised the class for being friendly and the highlight of their children’s week.
Ms Cooper will receive a certificate and a gold badge from Netmums to display at her sessions.
Music Makers classes take place at Cranford village hall on Mondays at 10am, 11am and 2pm, The Centre in Mawsley on Wednesdays at 10.30am and 11.30am and Titchmarsh Pavilion on Thursdays at 10am.
A new class is also due to start in Oundle in October.
More than a million mums were able to vote for the awards, making them the UK’s biggest parenting prize.
Netmums founder Siobhan Freegard added: “Pre-school classes are one of the very best ways to bond with your child and provide hours of fun for all the family.
“We were very impressed by the high standard of classes in north Northants but Naomi’s Music Makers class was a worthy winner.”
