An appeal to raise £20,000 to help Kettering Town FC fight a court winding up order has reached its target.

The total crossed the mark this afternoon (Wednesday, September 18) thanks to an individual donation worth £1,540.

The Just Giving project page pledges to put the money towards paying the debt and court costs as the Poppies appeal the High Court decision.

They say the money will be given to charities supported by the club if the appeal were to fail.

Donations from across the world have piled in, with many fans of rival teams putting their differences aside to back Kettering Town.
