Police want teenager in connection with Corby assault

Police are looking for a teenage girl after a man was assaulted as he sat on a park bench on Saturday evening.

The 18-year-old man, who was with a 32-year-old friend, was sat on the bench in Coronation Park, Corby, at around 8.30pm.

They were approached by the teenager, who was with a group of friends. She asked the older man for a cigarette, which he refused.

She then took the soft drink being drank by the 18-year-old and tipped it over him before punching the 32-year-old repeatedly in the face.

During the incident the girl also shouted racist abuse at the two men.

She has been described as white, aged between 16 and 17, 5ft 9in, of thin build, with long brown straight hair. She was wearing a black leather jacket, black leggings and a dark coloured scarf.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information regarding it.
