POLICE have targeted trouble makers causing a nuisance in a Raunds street.
Officers from the East Northamptonshire Central Safer Community Team have worked on reducing the number of incidents of people causing a nuisance in Mountbatten Way between 4pm and 9pm following complaints from people living in the street.
The issue was one of the main priorities for the team during March.
Sgt Debbie Adams said: “We have undertaken high visibility patrolling of the area.
“During the patrols we have operated a zero tolerance approach to incidents of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour, conducted stops and searches and interacted with people known to us for crime and anti-social behaviour.
“So far we have had no further reports of anti-social behaviour.”
To report incidents of anti-social behaviour to the East Northamptonshire Central Safer Community Team call 101.
The team will also be holding a surgery from 1.30pm to 2.30pm on Monday, April 23, at the SureStart Centre in Mountbatten Way.
