Police in the east of the county are keen to trace them in connection with a distraction theft from a vehicle parked in the underground car park at Asda in Washbrook Road, Rushden on Monday, February 4.

At some time between 5pm and 6.20pm that evening, a woman returned to her vehicle which she unlocked.

As she was about to get into the vehicle, she was approached by a man carrying a map who asked her for directions.

The man then left and as the woman got into her vehicle she discovered that a purse containing cash and cards had been stolen from her handbag.
