Police have named the teenager who died after being hit by a car in Kettering.

A police spokesman said the pedestrian who died following a collision with a car on Tuesday, June 23, was Aston Barrett, 18, from Barnwell Street in Kettering.

Mr Barrett was involved in a collision with a blue Suzuki Ignis in Charles Street, Kettering, at about 2pm on Tuesday.

Following the collision, he was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry, where he died.

Dozens of flowers have since been left in the street where the road accident took place.

Officers are keen to speak with any witnesses or anyone who may know anything about the incident.
