Police made arrests after reports of an illegal rave in a wooded area between Weldon and Oundle during the early hours of this morning (Sunday, June 23).
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said “various arrests” had been made and equipment and drugs had been seized from the scene.
Officers carried out a risk assessment after the incident was reported during the early hours.
Control Room Inspector Wayne Preece said: “We have been managing public safety there all day. It has been broken up and we have made some arrests.
“We made various arrests and seized equipment and drugs.
“It was all managed successfully.
“The incident affected the village of Weldon because people were parking their cars in Weldon, but it took place between Weldon and Oundle, in a wooded area.”
