Police are appealing for information after two men who took a taxi from Northampton to Wellingbrough train station, refused to pay their fare.

British Transport Police officers have obtained images of two men wanted for questioning about the incident which took play on Sunday, July 7, at around 9pm.

They are calling on the public to help identify them.

PC Ian Thompson who is investigating the case said: “If you recognise the men, or know their whereabouts, then please get in touch.”

The suspects travelled from Northampton and refused to pay the taxi fare that had been agreed with them at the start of the journey.

According to PC Thompson, once they had arrived they “entered Wellingborough station before walking off towards the town centre”.
