Five teenagers were attacked by a gang of yobs who spat at and racially abused the victims.

The five boys, two aged 16, one aged 15, one aged 14 and one whose age is not known, were assaulted sometime between 5.30pm and 7pm, in three separate incidents in Oundle, on Saturday, January 12.

A sixth teenage boy, aged 16, was chased by the same offenders.

The first incident took place as two of the teenagers were walking through the Chapel Lawns area of Oundle, when they were shoulder barged and spat in the face by three offenders. One of the victims was also racially abused.

The same offenders then approached two other teenagers, punching one to the ground and racially abusing him. The second victim was then told to lie on the floor next to him, at which point both were kicked.

The offenders then chased another teenager who disturbed them and who then ran away from the area.

After failing to reach him they then approached another 16-year-old-boy and demanded he hand over his bag, before assaulting him.

There were three offenders who officers believe are responsible for all of these incidents.
