Police hunt for man in connection with triple shooting in Peterborough

Detectives are appealing for help to trace a man in connection with a triple shooting in Peterborough - and they believe he has links with Northamptonshire.

Officers are keen to speak to Fred Smith Junior, 23,in connection with a shooting at Oxney Road, Peterborough, which left three people injured on September 17.

His father, also called Fred Smith, has been charged with shooting three men and remanded in custody.

Police have said that the man has links to Peterborough, Wisbech and Northamptonshire.

Members of the public are urged not to approach him but to report any sightings to police.

Detective Inspector Dave Grierson, of Cambridgeshire Police, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who has information about Fred’s whereabouts or believes they may have seen him since September 17.

“I would also make a direct plea to Fred – please hand yourself in to officers it is important we speak to you.”
