Wellingborough police want help from the town’s Latvian community as they investigate a serious assault during the early hours of Saturday, November 9.

Four men who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been released pending further enquiries after 28-year-old Latvian national sustained a serious head injury in the assault.

The man remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital after being chased and attacked in the Albert Road and Grant Road area of the town some time between 3am and 5am.

Police are appealing directly to Wellingborough’s Latvian community and have issued an appeal in Latvian in the hope people with information will come forward.
