Police in Kettering are appealing for witnesses to a racially aggravated assault which took place in Montagu Street, on Sunday 14 July.

Sometime between 1.55am and 2.10am, a man and a woman had a verbal altercation which resulted in the woman shouting racist insults before spitting in the man’s face before leaving the scene.

The woman was white, believed to be aged in her 20s, was around 5ft4” tall and had red hair which was long on top and shaved at the sides, with green and red stripes on the sides. She was wearing a hooded top with black leggings.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may recognise the description of the woman involved.
