A police officer is teaming up with an animal chairty to give advice to residents about items ranging from pet welfare to dog rekated legislation.

PC Andy Hoyle from Wellingborough Safer Community Team will be joining staff from Wood Green animal charity at their community dog roadshow in Queensway, Wellingborough on Thursday afternoon (November 29).

The Animal’s Charity is hosting the event in the car park of Glamis Hall, between 3pm and 6pm, where they’ll be with local police officers and PCSOs on the mobile police station.

The public are invited to bring their dogs for a free weight check and to get advice about neutering and general pet welfare. They will also have the chance to buy worming treatments and microchipping for their pet.

PC Hoyle will be on hand to answer any questions about dog related legislation, such as dog bites and the law around dangerous dogs.
