Young pirates and princesses are invited to a party in Kettering next week.

Bring along a picnic basket, your eye patches and tiaras to the Manor House Gardens in Kettering on Wednesday, August 5, for free fun and games.

Children will be able to get creative and make pirate hats, princess wands and more.

There will also be a free activity trail, drop-in craft sessions, face painting, giant board games and balloon modelling.

The fun runs from 1pm to 3.30pm and is being hosted by Kettering Museum & Art Gallery.

Acting head of community services at Kettering Council Guy Holloway said: “Pirates and Princesses will be a wonderful way for families to continue their summer celebrations in Kettering.

“We hope lots of children come dressed up to enjoy the free activities, games and exhibitions at the Manor House Gardens.”

Cllr Lesley Thurland, Kettering Council’s portfolio holder for community and culture, said: “It’s good to see Kettering Museum and Gallery hosting yet another family friendly set of activities for the school holidays, adding to the fantastic summer holiday programme already on offer this year in Kettering.

“Pirates and Princesses in the Park will be a relaxed and enjoyable day for all the family in the wonderful Manor House Gardens.”
