Northampton Saints’ fans and players paid tribute to India Chipchase by holding a minute’s applause before Saturday’s home game.

The 20-year-old, who was found dead on January 31, was a huge fan of her hometown rugby club and was reportedly the girlfriend of Evaan Reihana, son of former Saints captain Bruce Reihana.

A minute’s applause was held at Franklin’s Gardens before the match against Worcester on Saturday.

India’s brother Harry tweeted that it was a “lovely touch” by the club.

He said: “Good win for @SaintsRugby and a lovely touch to do a minutes applause before the game for my Angel Ind. Rest peacefully my beautiful.”
