The historic trek from Oakham to Corby by the walking dragline named Sundew will be depicted in photographs taken by Rod Hoggett, known as the Digger Man.
He recorded the walk in 1974 to Stewarts & Lloyds in the town and his photographs have not been seen for 15 years.
Corby Borough Heritage Forum is inviting people to the exhibition of pictures in the Old Village Community Centre, off High Street, at 7pm on Friday, July 18.
Corby Council’s heritage champion Cllr John McGhee said: “This is a great event for people of all ages – whether you’re feeling nostalgic or are interested in learning more about the Sundew’s historic walk.”
Admission is £1 and refreshments will be available. For more details call 01536 464284.
