Police are asking people in rural areas of the county to be on the look-out for signs that people might be planning illegal raves in their local area.
Officers say they are determined to maintain their “robust approach” to raves and are urging people in rural communities to be their “eyes and ears, for the best chance of preventing an event before it starts”.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: “We would encourage you to report any suspicious circumstances, such as cars acting suspiciously, driving around slowly looking at fields, outbuildings and barns, and any potential marking of locations, such as paint marks on the road surface or ribbons on gates and in hedges.
“Information from the public is invaluable; if you suspect a rave to be starting, maybe by the appearance of a number of vehicles at a location, please call 999 immediately.”
Any information or concerns about potential raves can be reported using the non-emergency 101 number or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
