People have had their say at a police event held in Wellingborough.
Officers held a stall in the Swansgate Centre yesterday (Friday, September 28) and today (Saturday) to give people an opportunity to talk to them about any issues they have.
The main theme of the event was women’s safety. It came after a series of women’s safety sessions were held by police in Wellingborough recently aimed at offering women information and guidance on how not to become a victim of crime.
Hundreds of personal alarms and cat bells for handbags have been given out during the two-day event.
PCSO Mel Thomas said: “It’s gone really well. We’ve had a lot of people talking to us, including people from all backgrounds and all ages.
“We’ve had quite a lot of young women coming to talk to us off the back of the women’s safety session we have held in Wellingborough recently.”
