Corby is in the top 10 places for passengers booking travel to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games, according to coach operator National Express.

With just under five weeks to go, the company’s advance bookings show that during the Games, between 23 July and 4 August, the number of people travelling from Corby to Glasgow will nearly double year-on-year.

The top 10 locations in order of passenger growth on services to the Games are Bristol, Plymouth, Exeter, Nottingham, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Mansfield, Taunton, Corby and Ringwood.

National Express’s coaches are running directly to Glasgow from 72 locations, with overnight services from 20 cities to Glasgow enabling supporters to travel during the night.

National Express UK coach managing director Tom Stables said: “With the countdown to the start of the games well underway it’s fantastic to see people from Corby booking their coach travel up to Glasgow and ready to get behind our athletes”
