The generosity of patients at a dental surgery helped raise £600 for a Corby girl in just three hours.

Natural Smiles, in Stanion Lane, Corby, held a coffee morning last month to raise money for the Lexie Leggy Appeal.

And the total, which included a donation from Natural Smiles, reached £650.

The money is for toddler Lexie Fordyce, of Grendon Avenue, who has cerebral palsy. Lexie’s family is trying to raise £40,000 to send her to America for surgery to help her walk.

Natural Smiles owner Dr Bhav Waghela said: “We had been looking at doing some sort of charity event for a while but we wanted it to be for something local. One of our patients is Lexie’s nursery nurse and she mentioned Lexie to us. We thought it was a great cause.”
