One person has been taken to hospital after a collision on the A14 near Thrapston this evening (Tuesday).
The crash, involving a lorry and two cars, caused long tailbacks in both directions.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they had been called to the incident just after 5.15pm and left the scene at 6.20pm.
As well as the casualty taken to hospital by ambulance, another person was treated at the scene.
One lane in each direction between junction 14 for Polopit and junction 15 for the B663 were shut as a result of the collision.
It also caused congestion between junctions 13 for Thrapston and 16.
