Here are some of the people who carried the Olympic flame through county on Monday.
Three of Wellingborough’s torchbearers spoke to our reporters after completing their leg of the route.
Nicola Kenton, 17, who was the first torch bearer in the town, said: “The amount of people at the beginning of the route was amazing and it just carried on throughout – it was unbelievable. My family, friends and people from school all came out to watch me.”
Parul Noble, 44, a customer service senior advisor for Musgrave Retail Partners, Wellingborough, said: “It was the best day of my life. The amount of people who came out to watch was unbelievable.”
Alexandra Riley said: “I had the most fantastic day of my life. It was wonderful to see so many people, and everyone was smiling.”
