An Olympic garden trail event will take place in Earls Barton this weekend.
It will take place on Sunday, July 8, from 2pm to 7pm.
People can follow a gardens trail around the village. A map and trail questions will be available from each open garden, as well as from the church hall and church, for £2.50.
There will be quizzes to test peoples’ Olympics knowledge.
Many of the gardens will have a theme – including two children’s challenge/sports gardens, a labyrinth garden and a secret garden.
Cream teas will be served in some gardens and there will be refreshments in the church hall, as well as Traidcraft products and fairtrade gifts for sale.
All Saints Church will be open with Olympic-themed prayer areas.
Money raised will go towards the raised floor area project at All Saints and to Tearfund and its agriculture and horticulture projects in poor communities around the world.
