Children from schools across the Wellingborough were given a master-class by Team BG table tennis player Joanna Parker.
The Olympian’s visit was organised by the Wellingborough-based Westfield Table Tennis Club.
She went to Wollaston School, Wrenn and Weavers Sports Centre in a bid to encourage the next generation of sportsmen and woman.
Youngsters from primary school across the borough travelled to the secondary schools to watch her play table tennis.
Northamptonshire Sports development officers Gregg Yarnall, who is also a member of Westfields Table Tennis Club, said: “The purpose of the visit was to promote Westfields’ table tennis sessions which take place at Weavers and to encourage the next generation.”
