There was plenty going on at an open day held by Busy Bees nursery in Corby.

In fact, it was a hive of activity as staff welcomed parents and their children and visitors who were keen to find out more about what it has to offer.

The nursery on the Oakley Vale estate can cater for up to 85 children, from three months old to five, and it employs 30 staff members.

At the open day on Saturday (September 14) youngsters enjoyed a soft play area and face-painting and had fun with nursery mascot Buster the Bee.

There were also displays on the nursery, a raffle, a competition to guess the weight of the cake and stalls selling books and jewellery.

Nursery manager Olivia Mayell said: “We were very busy all morning and everyone really enjoyed themselves.

“It was good to welcome visitors and show them around.”
