Notice has been served on a group of Travellers which has taken over part of a public car park in Kettering.
The notice has been served after about 10 caravans parked up in the London Road car park next to the Corn Market Hall in Kettering.
The group has been told to leave the site within 24 hours or they will face further action.
A spokesman for Kettering Council, which runs the car park, said they have received a few enquiries this morning and confirmed that the Countywide Travellers Unit was dealing with this issue.
A spokesman for the Countywide Traveller Unit, which represents the county and borough/district councils, said: “We are working closely with the police who have served notice this morning (Tuesday, May 26) ordering the group to vacate the site within 24 hours or face further action.”
