Officers investigating a shop robbery have released an image of a man they want to speak to.

At about 6.30pm on Tuesday, February 3, a man went into the Simply Pleasure adult store in Wellingborough Road and asked about DVDs.

He then left the store but returned a short while later.

On his return, he spoke to the shop assistant about products on sale before pulling out a knife and demanding that she open the till.

He then took some money and fled.

He was white, 5ft 7in or 5ft 8in and aged 18 to 25.

He had short blond or light brown hair and was wearing a white polo shirt underneath a burgundy jumper as well as grey or black jeans.

CCTV footage has identified a man who was in the area at the time.

Witnesses, or anyone who recognises the man from this picture, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101.

Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
