Northamptonshire village pub landlords to step down after annual beer festival

The popular landlords of a village pub are moving on – but not before their annual beer festival takes place!

After 10 years at the Tollemache Arms in Harrington Mark and Kelly Owen are moving on to pastures new after they’ve run their 10th annual beer festival, which starts today.

They said: “We hope that you can join us during the week.

“As ever there is an extensive programme of events.

“We would like to thank you for your support and patronage during our 10 years and hope see you during the week to say farewell over one last pint!

“The Tollemache Arms will continue to trade after a quick refurbishment and we would like to wish the new management team all the best for the future.”

The beer festival programme runs as follows:

Monday – Festival opens 6pm, Morris dancing, barbecue and bouncy castle

Tuesday – Car and bike rally from 7.30pm, barbecue and bouncy castle

Wednesday – Beer festival dog show 7.30pm, barbecue and bouncy castle

Thursday – Beer festival quiz 8pm, Teams of two to six, £5 per head including barbecue

Friday – Live music festival begins at 6pm, barbecue, bouncy castle and slides, bouncy boxing

Saturday – Live music festival 12.30pm to 11pm, barbecue, bouncy castle and slides, bouncy boxing

Sunday – Live music festival 12.30pm to 9.30pm, four-a-side football 2pm (call to enter a team) barbecue, bouncy castle and slides, bouncy boxing, fireworks finale at 9.30pm.

The pub will be open all day as usual for food, and admission to the festival is free.

Most activities are under cover.
