Nominations are being sought for an annual people, pride and community awards.

Spire Homes, which has homes in East Northamptonshire, is seeking nominations for its annual awards ceremony which is being held in September.

The awards recognise excellent work by tenants, staff and contractors.

The categories are: best neighbour, community hero, involved tenant of the year, greatest achiever of the year, staff shining star award, contractor shining star award, the tenant shining star award and an overall winner award.

Each winner will receive £50 and the overall award winner will get £150.

Last year, Audrey Barnes won the overall winner and a Shining Star award.

Carol Eldred, a support worker for Spire Homes, said: “We were so pleased when Audrey was named the overall winner – she definitely deserved it.

“She is a great listener, and is always there to help and support her fellow residents at Crispian Court. I have never seen her without a smile on her face.

These awards are a great way for tenants and staff to show their appreciation to those who make a real difference to people and their communities.”

If there is someone who you would like to nominate for an award, call Spire Homes on 0300 123 66 11 and request a nomination form, or fill in the online form at www.spirehomes.org.uk.
