Irthlingborough Scout Group recently received a new patrol tent from Thrapston and Raunds Rotary Club.

The presentation was made to scouts and group leaders at the Irthlingborough Town Carnival by Rotary past president Richard Ablett and Rotary secretary Terry Franklin.

Group scout leader Nicholas Powell thanked the Rotary Club and said the tent would last the group for more than 25 years.

He said this kind of support is vital to the needs of the growing scouting group in Irthlingborough.

The scouts also took part in the procession at the town carnival.
