A new restaurant is opening in Corby on Friday (June 28) employing a staff of 15.
Voujon, in Rockingham Road, is part of a family-run business with Indian restaurants in Long Buckby, Stamford, Oakham, Wellingborough, Essex and three in Birmingham.
Manager Anwar Ali, said: “We have been looking at Corby for a number of years. It’s an up-and-coming town, with a rail station, new properties going up and lots going on. We want to give people here a fine dining experience. Something top-notch but also reasonably priced.”
The staff includes master chef Vivoti Mahote, a kitchen team of six and nine in the front of the restaurant.
Voujon’s menu includes tandoori specialities, balti, biryani and tawa dishes, traditional home cooking and 13 chef signature dishes. There is also a vegetarian selection and an assortment of rice dishes and breads.
The restaurant, which can cater for up to 60 diners, has embraced the technological age and all orders are taken by waiting staff with iPads.
Food orders are transmitted straight to the kitchen and drinks orders to the bar.
Mr Ali said: “There are no pieces of paper with handwriting that is hard to read and, therefore, no errors.”
Voujon also offers a home delivery service, within a seven mile radius.
