Police have issued a fresh appeal for information about an attack in Corby in which a man suffered serious injuries.

The 43-year-old was walking along Forest Gate Road with another man at about 12.30am on Saturday, October 4, when a car, now believed to be a small silver car, pulled up alongside.

The front-seat passenger then got out and assaulted both men, one of them suffering head injuries.

Officers believe the assault may be linked to an incident that happened earlier that evening in the Everard Arms pub and are appealing for anyone with information which may help to identify the offender to contact them.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
