A well-known Rushden pharmacy is to have some new faces behind the counter.

Rishi Hindocha and his wife Neesha have have bought the long-established Mistrys Pharmacy in High Street, Rushden.

Previous owner Shantilal Mistry has opted to semi-retire, but will retain his interest in a pharmacy in Market Harborough as well as an internet business.

The business bought by Rishi Hindocha dispenses almost 6,000 NHS items per month and generates significant, additional over-the-counter sales.

Mark Page of specialist medical property adviser Christie + Co brokered the deal.

He said: “The acquisition of Mistrys Pharmacy represents a great business acquisition for Rishi and his family and caps a really good year for him.

“It is especially pleasing to be able to assist Rishi as he was let down at the last minute on the acquisition of a pharmacy last year.

“We wish the Hindochas many happy years with their business and similarly offer our best wishes to Shantilal Mistry on his semi-retirement.”
