Kettering Council’s new managing director is set to be announced next week.
Earlier this month we revealed that chief executive David Cook could leave the authority after a leadership shake-up, which will see the role of chief executive scrapped.
The role will be replaced by a new managing director, supported by two executive directors.
The new managing director will be officially appointed at a full council meeting on Wednesday (September 28).
Whoever takes up the new post, which is being offered internally, will receive a salary of between £125,000 and £139,000.
That is significantly more than Mr Cook, whose salary is currently £98,000 according to the council’s latest statement of accounts.
Whether Mr Cook has applied for the new role is unknown.
