Chief Constable Adrian Lee has offered his congratulations to Deputy Chief Constable Suzette Davenport, who has been appointed as the new Chief Constable of Gloucestershire Constabulary.

Mr Lee said: “I am delighted that Suzette has been appointed to the position of Chief Constable at Gloucestershire Constabulary.

“I would like to offer my congratulations to her on being appointed, although her move will be a huge loss to Northamptonshire.

“We are fortunate that we have a strong chief officer team and together we will continue to drive forward the performance of the force to deliver our intention of making Northamptonshire the safest county in England.”

Adam Simmonds, Northamptonshire Police and Crime Commissioner, said: “I am delighted for Suzette that she has been appointed Chief Constable of Gloucestershire.

“Whilst I have only worked with her for a short time I have been very impressed by her experience, her skills and her style of working and I wish her every success in her new role.

“Northamptonshire’s loss will most certainly be Gloucestershire’s gain.”
