Shoppers will soon have more choice with the opening of two new shops in Kettering.
Jewellery chain Pandora is set to open a shop at the Newlands Centre next month.
A tweet from the shopping centre confirmed the new store is on its way and said: “We’re super excited about the opening of @PANDORA_UK in July.
“Can’t wait to see their summer collection here @Newlands_Centre.”
Also on its way is Pep&Co, a new clothing chain due to open in the town this summer.
The Northants Telegraph revealed earlier this year that Kettering had been chosen as one of 50 locations for the fashion chain.
Pep&Co bosses say they are aiming to challenge the value fashion sector, which is dominated by supermarkets and retailers such as Primark and Peacocks.
It will sell womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and lingerie.
The new Kettering store and one due to open in Corby town centre will be among the 50 shops across the country set to open in a six-week burst from mid-July.
News of the latest additions to the town centre has been welcomed by Kettering councillor Michael Brown.
He said: “Pandora, alongside Prezzo and Pep&Co coming to Kettering, is a sign of a recovering local economy and town centre.
“This is another massive vote of confidence from the retailers and yet another empty shop filled.
“Empty shops are now well below the national average and our local market is also getting better.
“Our offer continues to improve after a deep recession and the arrival of Pandora and the new Yards shopping area is further proof Kettering is on the up.”
